Within the scope of the TÜBİTAK Center of Excellence Support Program, the “Next Generation Biomaterials Technologies Network for Healthy Life” research program, of which IzTecH is a part, with the project titled “Design of Next Generation Functionalized Metallic Implants” has been accepted. Research Program Manager Organization is Hacettepe University. In this project, it is aimed to produce metallic implants with improved biomechanical compatibility with bone tissue by using the additive manufacturing method. The project will include 15 researchers from 5 different universities, as well as 7 master’s, 5 doctoral and 1 postdoctoral fellows for 48 months. We congratulate Dr. Benay Uzer Yılmaz, Dr. Mustafa Güden, Dr. Alper Taşdemirci and Dr. Sinan Kandemir from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Engin Özçivici ve Dr. Deniz Yücesoy from the Department of Bioengineering, Dr. Fatih Toptan from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and all other members of the project and wish them continued success.
