Our students won awards in the UCTEA Graduation Projects Competition
In the Inter-University Graduation Project Exhibition and Competition organized by the Izmir Branch of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers (TMMOB), our students achieved remarkable rankings in various categories.
In the field of Machine Theory and Dynamics, Mechatronics, Ömer Arda Özdemir and Deniz Arslan, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Serhan Özdemir, received the first prize with their project titled “Designing a Variable Stroke and Frequency Shaker for Fatigue Tests for Mechanical Parts”.
In the field of Heat Transfer and Energy, Tunç Güreşçi, Çağın Yıldırım, Mustafa Gökhan Çay, and Sezer Özbek, supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ünver Özkol, won the first prize with their project “Cooling of Low-Pressure Aluminum Casting Molds by
High-Speed Air Jets”.
In the field of Manufacturing Mechanics, Atalay Konuk, Ege Göktaş, Azize Arslan, İrem Ilgın, and Ahmet Hakan Tüzen, under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Halil Tetik, were awarded the second prize for their project titled “Development of an Experimental Setup and Determination of Optimum Printing Parameters for Direct-Ink-Writing (DIW) of Soft Elastomers”.
Also in the field of Manufacturing Mechanics, Deniz Yiğit and Simay Koyunoğlu, supervised by Prof. Dr. Sinan Kandemir, received the third prize for their project “Design and Fabrication of a Device to study Fatigue Corrosion Behavior Under Simulated Body Conditions”.
We sincerely congratulate all our students and their esteemed supervisors for making us proud with their outstanding achievements, and we look forward to their continued success.
